Dr. Gerald L. Croissant of Glendora, CA passed away on February 4, 2026, at the age of 88. “Jerry” was a much loved and respected Doctor of Agronomy at Cal Poly, Pomona from 1964-1998, and Professor Emeritus. He was often found out in the campus agriculture fields teaching plant and soil science courses, and various donut shops throughout Glendora. After retirement he went on to provide physical support to The Glendora Community Conservancy and San Gabriel Mountains Regional Conservancy from collecting trash on foothill trails, to hillside watering of newly planted trees, to driving his beloved wife, Dr. Ann Croissant to numerous meetings. Jerry was born to Roland and Emma Croissant in 1937-- part of the large farming family of Hardin, CO.
Jerry now rejoins Ann, his parents and his sister in heaven.
Jerry is survived by his three children: Brian Croissant (Heidi) of Upland, CA; Polly Clements of Glendora, CA; and Carol White (Kevin) of Puyallup, WA; nine grandchildren and one great-grandson.
