Hilde Lutton passed away peacefully in her sleep at her Arcadia home on May 8, 2026. Born Hilde Loster on July 27, 1931 in Wolla-Wodzinska, Poland, as one of six children to Rudolph and Natalie Loster. At the age of fourteen, her family was forced to flee their little farm during WW2 and endure the bitter cold of winter while making their way to Hemberg, Germany. In 1958, she immigrated to the United States. On the flight, she met the woman who would introduce her to her future husband of 55 years, Robert Lutton, who preceded her in death in 2015.
Hilde was an avid gardener who could grow something from nothing. She was a very active member of her long time church in Arcadia; loving the fellowship with her friends and serving through volunteer groups, prayer groups and teaching preschool children. She loved to read her bible and pray for and with others. Hilde was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease, which slowly restricted her ability to walk. She was confined to her bed for about two years before she peacefully passed away.
She is survived and greatly missed by her daughter, Doris Calderon, of Corona, CA and her granddaughters, Moya Beyersdorf, of Saint Paul, NE and Sierra Calderon of Corona, CA.
