Jorge Santos Trujillo

Jorge Santos passed away surrounded by family in Covina, California.

Jorge was born in Jerez, Zacatecas, Mexico on December 27, 1951. He was the second

oldest child to Beatriz Trujillo and Francisco Santos. At a young age he moved to the United

States in hopes of a better life. He met Leticia in English school and married her on July 31st,

1980. Jorge was a father of three daughters. Susana was his oldest and gave him two

grandchildren, Anisa and Gabriel. Gabriela was his second oldest and gave him four

grandchildren, Valerie, Jose, Jennifer, and Allan. Georgina was his youngest and gave him his

youngest granddaughters, Samantha and Sofia. He is survived by 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

Jorge was a hardworking man from a very young age. He worked diligently to provide for

his family. From the first time he became a grandpa (Tata), he made it a mission to also be

there for his grandkids. He was helpful with them and some may say he spoiled them rotten. He

was the type of grandpa that would sneak his grandkids a chocolate bar and comfort them when

they were scolded. Jorge, in his youth, loved horses with his entire being. This hobby was

shared with his daughters and grandchildren until the day he became ill and was no longer able

to carry on with it. He enjoyed the rodeos and the tamborazo that accompanied. He was fond of

his horses and the memories he created with them until the day he passed. He also enjoyed

watching baseball and telenovelas. He loved watching his Dodgers play from his recliner or bed

and eating chocolates while he did it. Jorge watched telenovela in the company of his wife,

children, and grandchildren. It became one of those hobbies he shared with family and also

brought him a sense of peace.

He was loved by those he came in contact with for his ability to make them laugh until

their cheeks hurt.

He will be remembered as a fighter. His strength is unmatched and his spirit will live in

our hearts forever.
