Jose Velasco, age 61, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 1, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. He was a devoted brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend to many. Jose was the rock of our family, a man who could handle anything that came his way. His great sense of humor could always lighten the mood with a joke. He worked hard but also knew how to enjoy life, cherishing moments spent with family and friends. Most importantly, he was a man of faith, always eager to share the word of God with anyone he encountered. Jose was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.
His absence is felt deeply, but we take comfort in knowing we will see him again. Please keep the Velasco family in your prayers as they mourn this loss.
He is survived by his two sons, Ruben and his wife Norma, and Jeremy, as well as his three cherished grandchildren, Makayla, Malina, and Ethan.
"But we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep, that you should not grieve like the rest who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, so also we believe that God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus."
— 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14
