

Julio lived in the city of Los Angeles for over 60 years. He was born in Ahuachapan, El Salvador, on August 11, 1942, and passed away peacefully on June 2, 2024, surrounded by his family. He completed his schooling at the prestigious Colegio Santa Cecilia in Santa Tecla, El Salvador. He came to Los Angeles at the young age of 18 on an Intensive English Program Scholarship. A few years later, he met and married his wife, Irma, with whom he raised their children. He continued to excel at East Los Angeles Skills Center and received several accolades from his employers. He was an auto mechanic by trade but owned and operated several family businesses later in life. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was a man of faith. Throughout his lifetime, he played soccer and was a loyal Real Madrid CF fan. He was an avid storyteller, traveler, reader, photo-videographer, hiker, and music lover. He is survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A viewing and rosary in sunset chapel for Julio will be held Friday, June 21, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sunset Chapel, 1401 South Grand Ave, Glendora, California. A funeral service will occur Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A burial to follow will occur Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 10:15 AM.
