With profound sadness and deep gratitude for a life so beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Lidia Vera, a devoted Christian, beloved wife of 52 years, cherished sister, loving mother, proud grandmother, and faithful friend.

Lidia lived a full and blessed life to the age of 72. She was born to Esteban Garfias and Hermelinda Corona and grew up alongside her loving siblings: Luisa Garfias, Irma Garfias, Leticia Garfias Flores, Esteban Garfias, David Garfias, and Humberto Garfias.

For 52 remarkable years, she shared a strong and loving marriage with her husband, Amancio Vera. Their union was a testament to commitment, faith, and unconditional love. Together they built a family rooted in Christian/Catholic values, prayer, and unwavering support for one another.

Her faith was the foundation of her life. She found great joy and peace in attending temple, where she nurtured her relationship with God and her church community. Her faith guided her actions, shaped her kindness, and strengthened her through every season of life.

She was the proud and devoted mother of four children, Alberto Vera, Guadalupe Vera, Jesse Vera, and David Vera, whom she loved fiercely and selflessly. Her greatest joy multiplied with the arrival of her ten cherished grandchildren: Andrew, Brandon,, Bridget, Brianna, Delilah, Noah, Micah, Ezrah, Camille and Kataleya. She celebrated each of their accomplishments, prayed for them daily, and made sure they always felt loved and supported. To them, she was comfort, wisdom, laughter, and home.

She embraced life with warmth and enthusiasm. She loved spending peaceful days at the beach, feeling the sun and listening to the waves. She enjoyed shopping adventures, exciting trips to the casino, and above all, cooking delicious meals that brought her family together around the table. Her kitchen was a place of love, where recipes were shared and memories were made. Caring for her family was not just something she did — it was who she was.

Her home was always open, her heart even more so. She had a way of making everyone feel welcomed, valued, and loved. Her laughter filled every room, and her strength anchored her family through life’s challenges.

Though we mourn her absence, we find comfort in knowing her faith assures us she is at peace. Her love, prayers, and legacy will continue to guide her husband, children, grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know her.

She will be forever missed, forever remembered, and forever loved.

Con profunda tristeza y profunda gratitud por una vida tan hermosa, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Lidia Vera, una cristiana devota, amada esposa durante 52 años, querida hermana, madre amorosa, orgullosa abuela y fiel amiga.

Lidia vivió una vida plena y bendecida hasta los 72 años. Nació de Esteban Garfias y Hermelinda Corona y creció junto a sus queridos hermanos: Luisa Garfias, Irma Garfias, Leticia Garfias Flores, Esteban Garfias, David Garfias y Humberto Garfias.

Durante 52 años extraordinarios, compartió un matrimonio sólido y amoroso con su esposo, Amancio Vera. Su unión fue un testimonio de compromiso, fe y amor incondicional. Juntos construyeron una familia arraigada en los valores cristianos/católicos, la oración y el apoyo inquebrantable.

Su fe fue el fundamento de su vida. Encontró gran alegría y paz al asistir al templo, donde nutrió su relación con Dios y su comunidad eclesial. Su fe guió sus acciones, moldeó su bondad y la fortaleció en cada etapa de su vida. Fue la orgullosa y devota madre de cuatro hijos: Alberto Vera, Guadalupe Vera, Jesse Vera y David Vera, a quienes amó con fervor y desinterés. Su mayor alegría se multiplicó con la llegada de sus diez queridos nietos: Andrew, Brandon, Bridget, Brianna, Delilah, Noah, Micah, Ezrah, Camille y Kataleya. Celebraba cada uno de sus logros, oraba por ellos a diario y se aseguraba de que siempre se sintieran amados y apoyados. Para ellos, ella era consuelo, sabiduría, risas y hogar.

Abrazó la vida con calidez y entusiasmo. Le encantaba pasar días tranquilos en la playa, sintiendo el sol y escuchando las olas. Disfrutaba de las compras, las emocionantes visitas al casino y, sobre todo, cocinar deliciosos platillos que unían a su familia alrededor de la mesa. Su cocina era un lugar de amor, donde se compartían recetas y se forjaban recuerdos. Cuidar de su familia no era solo algo que hacía, era parte de su esencia.

Su hogar siempre estuvo abierto, y su corazón aún más. Tenía la capacidad de hacer que todos se sintieran bienvenidos, valorados y amados. Su risa llenaba cada habitación, y su fortaleza afianzó a su familia ante los desafíos de la vida.

Aunque lamentamos su ausencia, nos consuela saber que su fe nos asegura que está en paz. Su amor, sus oraciones y su legado seguirán guiando a su esposo, hijos, nietos y a todos los que tuvieron la suerte de conocerla.

La extrañaremos, recordaremos y amaremos por siempre.
