Born and raised in Southern California, Lloyd embodied the warmth, resilience, and easygoing
spirit of the place he called home.
A devoted Catholic, Lloyd lived his life grounded in prayer, compassion, and a deep trust in
God. His faith guided his actions, shaped his character, and was reflected in the kindness and
understanding he showed to everyone around him.
In his younger years, Lloyd proudly served in the United States Airforce, an experience that
strengthened his discipline, broadened his perspective, and instilled in him a lifelong sense of
duty and respect. After his service, he built a hardworking career as a cement truck driver in Los
Angeles, where he provided for his family with dedication and pride. Lloyd was married to Alice
for nearly 20 years, and together they built a loving family that became the center of his world.
He was the father of five children: his eldest daughter Shelly, who preceded him in death; his
sons Billy, Tim, and Chris; and his youngest daughter, Leslie. His love for his children was
unwavering, and his presence in their lives was steady, supportive, and full of heart.
One of Lloyd’s greatest joys in later life was being a grandfather. He adored his five
grandchildren Haley, Wyland, Harper, Grace, and Sawyer- each of whom brought him immense
pride, happiness, and laughter.
Lloyd cherished spending days at the beach with his family, finding joy in the simple beauty of
the ocean and togetherness it brought. A true Californian, he loved surfing and felt the most at
peace near the waves. He was also an avid reader, drawn to books about war, people, history,
and surfing- subjects that reflected his curiosity, his reflective nature, and his appreciation for
both the world’s struggles and its stories.
He is survived by his sisters Edna and Burnadette, his brother Patrick, his four children Billy,
Tim, Chris and Leslie and his five grandchildren, all of whom will continue to carry his memory
with love.
Lloyd will be remembered for his strong faith, adventurous soul, and his sense of humor. His
warmth, his stories and his presence will be forever missed and forever treasured
