My tia lupe was a wonderful person to me she always welcomed me with open arms and a beautiful smile and hugs I loved her Huggs when I was young We use to go to her house all the time because of the family parties and just to visit and I use to play with my uncle and cousin in the front yard her yard was like a park lol I swear always unite as a kid :) thank u my Heavenly Father for allowing my tia to be here for 78 years and for all of her blessings:) forever in my heart and soul and I know I’ll see u again tia because the body dies and your spirit live forever and your in a way better place with your creator our lord no more pain and sickness yay your free tia and can’t wait to reunite up there with u and with my other family that r no longer here I freaking adore u so much!!!! :) love always my daughter my mom and my grandma your sister oxoxoxoxox  

I miss you everyday Lady and it doesn't get easier. i think about you or want to call you and I can’t. I miss your voice and your blessing in the morning before work, the late night taco runs, thrift store deals and especially our road trips. Those road trips with wendys baked potatoes and chayito valdez playing on the radio and us just talking and laughing   .   every time I fell you were there to help pick me up dust me off and tell me the hardest part is getting up now that your up what you gonna do. and just like that you arent anymore.  i would give anything to hear you say Hey Lady again or laugh or one of your jokes.  You may be gone but you live in each and everyone of us.  You are greatly missed. I know that heaven rejoiced when you got there and hugged all those who went before us.  i will miss you everyday.  I told you many times that the day you were to leave me you would take a piece of me with you and you did. I love you Lady I love you Nana. Rest easy until we see each other again  which for me will feel like an eternity but for you no so much  and keep doing what you did here which is keeping an eye on us. I love you! 

Happy Mother's Day Grandma. I miss you so much everyday. Hope you enjoy your day up there in Heaven.

You are missed beyond words but memories of you are what keep everyone strong.


Awe, what can I say that no one here has ever experienced? To me, my beloved friend was a source of strength when my personal life was falling apart. She always greeted me with her famous "cafecito y chisme" and always talked me into taking her "thrifting and a restful lunch of tacos."
Lupe showed me that although I had to work full-time Hannah was in safe hands always. The love she showed all her grandchildren was as unconditional and steady as you would expect and when she missed anyone of them, they always found themselves there to ease her sadness which she too suffered from time to time.
I will forever miss my friend but my faith tells me one day we will see each other and greet each other with a warm hug.
Rest in paradise my friend and watch over us all. Smile upon the accomplishments your presence will miss but know everyone whom you loved, loves you more. You are now free of earthly pain and that is the comfort I hold close to my heart.
Thank you to the Munoz family who allowed me to share some private moments as their mother began her transition. May you all know it meant so much to me to share those hours with Lupe.
My whispered words to her were "fly high and know everyone will miss you but know you will never be forgotten. Thank you for your friendship and for loving Hannah so much."


My Grandma was the best Grandma anyone could ask for. She was always there for you when you needed her and you were able to count on her for anything. Her favorite thing to do was be in the stores. She was a super cool grandma. She would always call needing something from the store after we would get home from the store. My grandma was always at the thrift store. My grandma was a strong, independent, brave woman and that's how she taught us to be, just like her. There will never be another woman just like my grandma. I will forever miss going to the stores with her. Or just be in the streets because we would be bored at home. We would get up with no destination and just end up at the store. My grandma and I were two peas in a pot. We would be out and about at least 5 to 6 days a week sometimes maybe the whole week everyday. I will forever miss my grandma and miss all the memories we created together. Gone but Never Forgotten. Till we meet again Grandma. La extraño mucho y La Quiero Mucho Mi Viejita.
