Lynda K Laursen

Born on August 1, 1945, to Russel and Alice Ohrn, Lynda grew up with a strong sense of family and creativity that stayed with her throughout her life. She graduated from Glendora High School and went on to dedicate nearly 40 years of service as a telephone operator with GTE, later Verizon, where she was known for her reliability and kind spirit.

Lynda was a deeply caring and vibrant woman who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an amazing artist, had a special love for animals, and brought warmth to those around her with her unmistakable laugh. Her generous heart and joyful spirit will be remembered by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Erik Laursen, and his wife, Anna Laursen; her daughter, Lisa Laursen Cole, and her husband, Dan Cole; and her beloved grandchildren, Vivian Cole (14) and Adam Cole (11), who brought her immense pride and happiness.

Lynda was preceded in death by her husband, John Wade Laursen, who passed away on March 5, 2026.

Lynda will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be planned at a later date to honor and remember her life.

Her laughter, her kindness, and her loving heart will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
