Marcela Cate Jamir

Today, we lovingly say goodbye to an extraordinary woman whose heart touched everyone she met. Marcela Cate Jamir, known affectionately as Cel, welcomed God’s embrace on August 16, 2024, in her home surrounded by her closest family. Cel’s journey began in San Juan, Cavite, Philippines and was a beloved daughter of Rosario Fama and Severino Cate. Her early years were graced by the loving companionship of her siblings, Teresita De Castro and Romeo Cate, with whom she shared a deep and enduring bond.

Cel's life was a radiant example of her deep devotion to Jesus and her boundless love for her family. Together with her beloved husband Reynaldo “Reny” Jamir, whom she cherished for 55 wonderful years, she created a home brimming with warmth and affection. Their love laid a foundation so strong that it kept their family remarkably close. Their children—Catherine and her husband Peter, Clarissa and her husband Pierre, and Kenneth and his wife Cecile—are not just close in heart but also in distance, living within a short 10-minute drive of each other and sharing daily moments of joy and connection. This beautiful closeness is a testament to the loving environment Cel and Reny nurtured. Their cherished grandchildren—Justin and his wife Kristine, Terrin and her fiance Adrian, Mia, Joshua and Ella were the sparkling joy of Cel’s life, filling her days with immense pride and happiness. In every shared laugh, every visit, and every heartfelt embrace, Cel’s life of love and togetherness continues to shine brightly.

Cel’s legacy is one of boundless compassion and gentle strength. Her ability to embrace others with an open heart and her unwavering support for those she loved left a lasting imprint on all who had the privilege of crossing her path. Her absence will be deeply felt, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide those who were touched by her warmth and love.
