Margaret Sue (Bowden) Bellis was born on June 4,1938, in Los Angeles, California to Newton E and Helen B (Strech) Trucks. She spent most of her childhood in Napa, California with her parents, two younger sisters, Doris and Linda, as well as her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins. Her nuclear family returned to the Los Angeles area when she was in her preteens. Both of her parents were very involved in church service as lay ministers, volunteering numerous hours weekly to teach, support, and serve. Margaret married Robert Ingram Bowden in 1956, with whom she eventually became involved in evangelical crusades, then in pastoring churches, and working in South America as missionaries. They also became parents to three children. Their marriage ended in 1976, after which Margaret began working at World Vision and later owned and managed an AIM mail center. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her universe. Upon her passing on May 21, 2025, she is survived by her three children, Connie Bowden Swentek, Cheryl Jeanne Bowden Errichiello, and Robert E Bowden; by her five grandchildren, Sean A Swentek, Jennifer S Swentek, Joe F Dioguardi, Reign A Bowden, and Riley M Bowden; and by her three great-grandchildren, Lucca Dioguardi, Sia Swentek, and Aria Swentek.
