Maricela was truly a one of kind person. The love and the positive energy she brought to all the people who knew her is unmeasurable. As a teacher she taught and supported 100’s of students. She is a true role model and encouraged many. Not only did she teach them the standard curriculum required by the state but she also taught them to be proud of who they are, where they came from and to pursue they’re dreams. Depending at what phase of her 30 year career she is known and beloved as Ms. Olivia, Ms. Crespo or just Ms.
To our family, there are no words to express how important she was to us all. She held a different role for each of us. Not only was she our beloved sister, tia, mom, niece, cousin- to a lot of us she was a second mother. She was love and support, she was the hostess with the mostess. She was a great big smile and fluttering eyelashes. She was over sentimental and pure joy to have in life. She will be extremely missed but never forgotten. She has moved ahead and rests in peace, no more lactulose, no more hospital trips, no more pain. She is in great company in heaven with our parents, siblings and family we met & never met. Our faith has taught us that a time will come when we all meet again, until then.
