Nellie Montano

With deep love and heartfelt remembrance, the family of Nellie Montano announces her passing on July 14, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on September 17, 1954, Nellie lived a life defined by strength, independence, and an unshakable devotion to her family.

She leaves behind four children, sixteen grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren, and was the foundation of a large and close-knit family. Nellie was strong-willed, fiercely loyal, and made sure her family was just as strong-willed and loved. She encouraged them to never give up and was their rock during hard times.

Nellie’s home was always open, and her presence brought comfort, honesty, and warmth. She had a way of bringing people together—whether for a home-cooked meal or simply being there when her family needed her most. Her legacy lives on in the strength, love, and unity of her family.

A celebration of Nellie’s life will be held at Oakdale Mortuary on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 10am, followed by a reception where family and friends can gather to share memories and honor her life.

Though she is no longer with us, her voice, her strength, and her love remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
