Finally, my favorite memory of Bob is from our wedding day on May 17, 1980. At the time, Tom worked at Roberts Holiday Lines in Santa Ana and Bob was his Boss. As he and JoAnn were leaving the reception, he came up to me and said “now I expect to see Tom at work on Monday morning!” We were leaving for our honeymoon that day and I knew that was not happening! We all had a great laugh and somewhere I have a picture of me laughing heartily at what Bob said. He was a wonderful man who will be greatly missed in many circles. God be with you all.

Our beginning was humble and it’s had its definite ups and downs but we wouldn’t be where we are today without the opportunity Bob gave us all those years ago. Here’s our family in 2019 at the 30th anniversary celebration of Pacific Coachways. Thank you Bob Fawcett. We will always remember you as the wind beneath our wings. 💜🚌💜🚌

This new Prevost Le Mirage was added to our fleet in 1992.  We were so excited and Bob was excited for us!

When we first started out, we had no place to park the 4 buses and took them to various places each night including our church parking lot, a parking lot behind our local Target store, another bus company’s lot and finally a rented yard in Los Alamitos. Tom and Val Fleming had offices in our homes in the beginning and did all of the sales calls, driving and washing themselves. Bob had every confidence that these two guys would be successful.

My husband Tom purchased Pacific Coachways from Bob on July 1, 1989. We started out with 4 MCI Motorcoaches and now have 22 vehicles; MCI’s, Van Hools, one cutaway and 4 school buses. If it weren’t for Bob, we wouldn’t be where we are today.
