It is with heavy hearts, profound sadness, and love that we announce the passing of Sergio Aguila, who passed away surrounded by loved ones at his home on January 8, 2026, at the age of 53.
Sergio was born on December 4, 1972, in Los Angeles, California. He was a loving son, grandson, brother, uncle, and godfather. Though words cannot express the depth of our loss, we gather in spirit and memory to celebrate a life that brought light, laughter, and love to all who knew him, and to cherish the unforgettable memories he left with each one of us.
Family and Loved Ones
Sergio is survived by his mother, Rosa, stepfather Angel, and his sister, Cecilia, as well as many loving family members and friends who will always cherish his memory. He was preceded by his father, Ramiro, and his brother, Ramiro, Jr.
A Life of Kindness
Sergio was well known for his generous spirit, always offering a helping hand and a warm smile to those around him. His acts of kindness and familial support touched the lives of many.
Sergio lived a fulfilling life as a beloved son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, and godfather. He worked for Food 4 Less for 31 years with his longest and most recent position of cashier, which he liked as he interacted with many people. While still in high school, Sergio received his pilot’s license and volunteered his time serving in the Civil Air Patrol. Sergio also served as a role model for his cousins, demonstrating kindness and thoughtfulness to his younger family members. They loved hanging out with him playing games as much as just sitting with him talking about the latest gadgets, movies, and games. He took great joys in the simple pleasures of life, such as reading comic books, playing video and board games, and watching movies and television with loved ones. Sergio also had a passion for fast cars with a history of owning a variety of performance vehicles, including an original Ford Mustang, 1980’s Dodge Charger, and his most recent and cherished vehicle, a premium Dodge Charger.
Foremost among Sergio’s proudest joys was the time he spent making memories with his boys, Eddie and Dominick. His face would light up whenever they were together – whether enjoying a quiet movie at home or heading out on an adventure. Eddie and Dominick brought immeasurable happiness and meaning to his life, and Sergio strove to do nothing more than leave an equal impact on each of their lives as well.
Funeral and Memorial Services
A service dedicated to the celebration of Sergio’s life will be held on February 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Oakdale Memorial Park. All who wish to pay their respects and share memories are welcome to attend. May he rest in peace and may his memory be a blessing to all.
Sergio Aguila will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and his memory will live on through the love he gave and the lives he touched.
