So many memories to share, but when I'm very fond of, was when my friend Mike told his dad Terry that my son Aiden and I were at an Angels game in which the Angels were getting destroyed. Terry suggested to Mike that my son and I should leave that terrible game and come by and pick up tickets that were amazing seats to the game the following day. My son and I left the game, we went by Terry's, picked up the tickets. I remember he said you'll like these seats a bit better than where you were sitting. He was right there were no better seats to have in the entire ballpark. I liked what I was wearing that day and I wanted to wear it the next day to the game so I decided to wash my clothes. As we were getting ready to leave for the game I couldn't find the tickets. All of a sudden it hit me, I reach down into my Jean pockets the same jeans I was wearing when I picked the tickets up from Terry and there was a couple of very small fragments of what used to be the tickets. If you know Terry that was not an easy thing for Mike to tell him, well Dave outdid himself this time. He washed his jeans and absolutely destroyed the tickets. Terry went above and beyond to make the calls necessary for my son and I to still be able to go to that game. it's a cherished memory that I will always have. I love Terry, I love my good friend Mike and I know that they always loved me. Rest in peace Mr. Lenhoff. you are one of the most fascinating people I've ever met and you will certainly be missed but not forgotten.  Dave

Rest in peace Terry. I will always remember the days of working around your house and listening to you give me great advice as I grew up. Mike has been my closest friend for 30 years. Until we meet again.

Our Friend and Neighbor

Let’s see, so many years ago.
In my mind a way-back stroll.
This man moved in across our street.
Over forty years most days we’d greet.
A better neighbor could never be found,
Our care for each other could not be bound.
So, one less thing is on my daily list.
Terry, my friend, you’ll be sorely missed.

I want to send my sympathies to Terry’s family and friends. Terry was my dad’s cousin. Our families were very close and I thought of Terry’s folks, who were my great aunt and uncle, more like my grandparents. We often got to visit with Terry when he came home, which usually was around the holidays. I remember Cheryl’s Todd referring to him as “Christmas Terry”. 
     A favorite memory was when he came to my parents’ farm with his 396 fuel-injected 4 speed Corvette Stingray and gave me a ride. He knew I admired it so much that when he got back to California he sent me a matching HO scale Corvette Stingray for my racetrack.  I still have it. 
     I’m sure Terry’s hunting buddies have heard this story. I remember Uncle Andy telling about Terry being so excited after he shot a squirrel hunting that he laid down his gun to find the squirrel and then couldn’t find his gun back. 
   Another story I often heard about was when Terry came home unannounced on leave from the marines. He had grown quite a bit while away, when his mom opened the door she didn’t recognize him and wouldn’t let him in until his sister said  “Mom, that’s Terry!”
     Well, Terry, I’m sure you were greeted with big hugs this time when you walked through heaven’s door. 

Brother  . .I am going to miss you so much.   We often reminisced about our days growing up and would laugh until tears ran down our faces.  We had terrific parents who taught us how to work, how to play and have fun.  You inherited Dad's humor.  I will miss our so many trips to the horse races, your humor and your funny emails.  Enjoyed every day but during the pandemic, they save our sanity.

I love you Dad! It's been a rough few weeks, but I rest easy knowing you're in a peaceful place with gramps and grandma and so many of your friends. You've taught me so many things about being a strong man and you have my word that I will continue to exhibit those qualities in everything I do. Rest in peace Dad.

Terry was my friend for 57 years. We played on the same softball team in Glendale, Ca.in the 60's. When I lived in Fullerton he would pick me up with his Pinto to go to  Angel baseball games, he had the tickets, I paid for parking, beer and cigars. We rode dirt bikes together. We met twice a year in the Mojave Desert near Randsburg in the Spring and Fall for 5 days. We camped, had big fun target practicing, had a campfire along with a cigar and a bottle of Crown, and took several dirt bike trips. We were loading up and preparing for our Fall trip when he was taken from us. His  passing  has left a huge empty spot in my life. I looked forward to his daily emails. We exchanged emails talking about sports, politics, cars, racing, guns and ammo. Unfortunately I live in Carson City, Nv. which is almost 500 miles from his beloved Glendora so we we only saw each other 3 times a year. He would visit me around Labor Day when he went on his annual hunting trip at Virginia Lakes. We shared a passion for firearms but I'm not a hunter so he had 3 hunting buddies that he met and since Virginia Lakes is 100 miles from my house he would always stop by for a couple days on his way home. I loved his jokes . My family loved him too, he will be  greatly missed!

Rest in peace Terry.  Watch over our boy.

My condolences to the family.  So sorry to hear of his passing.  I have many fond memories of playing in Mr Lehnhoff's backyard as a kid and with his son Mikey.  We used to play cowboys & Indians back in the day.  I have nothing but fond memories of a decent man and life-long friend of my family.  Rest in peace.
