Beloved Father, Son, Brother, and Friend; he parted with us peacefully at home, surrounded by love and with a smile on his face, June 1st 2017. Survived by Five siblings, Six children, Twelve grandchildren, and Two great-grandchildren.
Tony was a larger-than-life personality who touched the hearts of so many. Through all the change in his life he persisted with strength and endurance. He lived his life to care for those close to him, always offering a place to go, and enjoyed cooking for his family and friends.
A devoted family man and entrepreneur, he always looked for challenges. He started Vans roofing company in 1983, and ran it successfully until 2007. On April 19th 2006 he had a life-changing accident that left him paralyzed.
Through his paralysis his views changed, he learned new strengths and started a new series of adventures. He rode the bus everywhere, did small projects in his garage, and started a new company, Elite Recycling for the Disabled. His goal was to provide jobs for people like him; physically disabled wanting to work, people whose bodies might have been limited, but who’s mind’s and will were strong. He knew there were people like him out there, just looking for the opportunity to strive.
Tony lived his life full of love and adventure, leaving this world brighter and fuller of things than he took from it, so that our lives may never be the same. He held on to the hope of the resurrection, to give him peace in this life for the awakening in the next.
Arrangements under the direction of Oakdale Mortuary, Glendora, CA.
