Barney Hensley

He worked most of his life in retail sales at Greeneville Builders and Greeneville Lumber.

He was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include his wife: Eliza Hensley; daughter: Jean Fanning; two sons and a daughter-in-law, who was like a daughter to him: Dean Hensley and Mickey and Pam Hensley, with whom he made his home for several years; he dedicated his life to his two grandchildren, who were his companions in work, play, fishing, and hunting: granddaughter and husband, Brandi and Daniel Fletcher, and grandson, Dustin Hensley; sister: Shirley Darnell; former son-in-law: Dennis Fanning; several nieces and nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great-great nieces and great-great nephews; and his wonderful caregivers: Brandy Shelton, Randy Duncan, and Shaunda Yeary.

Mr. Hensley was preceded in death by his parents: Cleovis and Zora Gunter Hensley, siblings: James Hensley, Robert Hensley, and Edna Faye Ricker; two nephews: Gary Johnson and Dale Hensley; and in-laws: Lee and Ellen Johnson Darnell.

There will be no formal visitation or funeral services.
