On August 12, 2025, Benjamin Alexander Gregory, “Buddy”, a resident of Jefferson City, TN, son of the late Remer and Leona Fawn Gregory, went home to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of 90. He was born and raised in Greeneville, TN. Upon graduation from Greeneville High School, he enlisted in the Air Force and during his service, he was stationed in Saudi Arabia. After completing 8 years of service, he discovered his love for real estate and proceeded to buy and sell several properties in Illinois, Tennessee and Arizona. He enjoyed traveling, music, movies and visiting with family. His favorite place to eat in the world was Shoney’s!!
He is survived by 1 sister, Vivian Baxley, of Kennesaw, Georgia, 3 daughters, Sylvia Uhl, Valerie Gardner (Charles) both of Colorado and Charlotte Williams (Jeremy), of Arizona. He has 1 son Benji, who resides in Tennessee. He has eight grandchildren, eleven greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Regena Edna, of Topeka, Kansas. Oldest sister, Betty Jean Smith and husband Kyle Robert Smith, of Greeneville. Youngest brother, James Fredrick Gregory, “Jimmy” and wife Mickey Gregory, of Seymour and brother-in-law, Mark Baxley, of Kennesaw, Georgia.
There will be no formal visitation.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11:00 am in River Hill Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home at 10:00 am Saturday to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Kyle Jennings, David Jennings, Michael Gregory, Rick Smith, Jim Brooks, and Jody Whaley.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Benji Gregory, David Gregory, Charles Raber, Bobby Purkey and James Brooks.
The Greene County Honor Guard and the US Air Force Honors Team will conduct a military graveside service.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the employees of Jefferson City Health and Rehabilitation Center and Gentiva Hospice.
