Mr. Scruggs attended Greenelawn Baptist Church.
He leaves to mourn his passing two daughters: Mariah Michelle Scruggs and April Scruggs, both of Greeneville; three sons: Malakai T. Scruggs of Morristown, Elliott K. Scruggs of Greeneville, Bobby G. Scruggs, Jr. of Knoxville; three brothers and a sister-in-law: Melvin C. Scruggs of Morristown, Danny W. Scruggs of Bulls Gap, Thomas L. and Oma Scruggs of Dunkirk, Indiana; five sisters and a brother-in-law: Debbie D. Stewart of Greeneville, Elder Nancy D. Kyle and Linda C. Garrett of Morristown, Patricia D. and Leon Flagg of Bulls Gap, Marilyn A. Scruggs of El Paso, Texas; a special aunt: Bea Arnett of Greeneville; special cousins: Dale Arnett and Sonny Coclough of Kingsport, William Gillespie and Ruth Parkey of Greeneville, Louis Johnson of Johnson City; former wives: Tawana Cotner and Roxanne Cradic; and his companion and friend: Bethany Ricker.
Born February 12, 1952 to the late James E. and Carolyn Z. Payne Scruggs, Mr. Scruggs was also preceded in death by two brothers, James Alvin Scruggs and Jimmy Leonard Scruggs.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Monday, March 19, 2012, at Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Claude Swatzell
officiating.
Interment will follow at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Louis Johnson, Mike Watterson, Ricky Cameron, Leon Flagg, Scoval Blevins and Roy Lee.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dale Arnette, Sonny Coclough, William Gillespie, Eddie Nicodemus, staff of Amedysis Hospice, Dr. Jeff Farrow, Dr. A. K. Sen, Dr. Charles Famoyin, and Dr. Richard Aasheim.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
