Survivors include a son: Peyton Tyler Humphreys of Greeneville; former wife: Christy Humphreys of Greeneville; mother: Vivian Humphreys of Greeneville; father: Ted Humphreys of Greeneville; grandmother: Bernice Collins of Greeneville
those he thought of as a second family: Petie and Gwyn Southerland, Annie Bailey, Jeremy Southerland; former father-in-law and mother-in-law: Glen and Kim Morgan; former brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: Josh and Pam Morgan and Leah Morgan; special niece: Mason Morgan; and several cousins, aunts, and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his cousins: Teresa Yates, Wendall Humphreys, Gail Ann Massengill, and Kelly Bernard; paternal grandparents: Ray and Hazel Humphreys; maternal grandfather: Mayburn Collins; and several uncles and aunts.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Following the visitation, the funeral service will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Harrell Cobb officiating.
Interment will follow at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Friends and family are requested to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday to go in procession to the committal service.
His pallbearers will be Chuck Humphreys, Brad Humphreys, Danny Humphreys, Petie Southerland, Jeremy Southerland, Larry Waddell, Hank Gregg, Jeff Crum, Eddie Crum, and Josh Morgan.
Honorary pallbearers will be cousins, good friends, members of Cedar Creek Presbyterian Church, Dr. Kenneth Susong, and his close friend from childhood, Shane Harrison.
