

In past years he had worked at M&M Supply Co., Sears, Quik Way Transportation, and Chuckey Garage.
Mr. Ramsey was a member of Limestone FreeWill Baptist Church.

He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a great mechanic and helped anyone he could who was in need. He loved his family and friends and special friends at Shanks Market. He will be deeply missed.
Survivors include his wife: Juanita Malone Ramsey; one daughter and son-in-law: Lisa and Rod Stephenson of Limestone; two stepdaughters and spouses: Judy and Paul Fritts of Jonesborough; Patti and Charles Phillips of Telford; a stepson: David Bailey of Greeneville; one granddaughter: Lauren Chambless; five step grandsons and spouses: Steve and Scarlett Fritts of Loudon, Brian and Melissa Fritts, Patrick Phillips, all of Telford, Wayne Bailey, Johnathon Bailey, both of Greeneville; three step grandchildren: Matthew, Jeremiah, and Emily Fritts, of Telford; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Barbara and Jack Saulsbury, Peggy and Paul Harris, and Rose Ramsey; a brother and sister-in-law: Jim and Vivian Ramsey; an aunt: Esther Drew of Afton; an uncle: Everette “Babe” Allen of North Carolina; several nieces and nephews; family friend: Terry Miles.
He was the son of the late Roy and Queen Allen Ramsey and was preceded in death by a step-grandson, David Paul Phillips; a nephew, Paul Stanton.
The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel. Rev. Alfred Cutshall, Rev. David Reece, and Rev. Tim Broyles will officiate. Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, in Limestone FWB Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Ramsey, Jack Saulsbury, Paul Harris, Steve Fritts, Brian Fritts, Patrick Phillips, and Terry Miles.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Bailey and Johnathon Bailey.
The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to Greene County 911, Greene County –
Greeneville Emergency Medical Services, Limestone FWB Church, friends, and neighbors.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. Family and friends are asked to meet at 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery for the committal service.
