Charles E. Shelton Sr.

He was honorably discharged from the US Air Force where he served four memorable years, with so many beloved memories he shared. He was a hardworking, loving, devoted father, grandfather, uncle and devoted friend.

Charles is survived by his son: Charles Shelton, Jr.; daughter: Sandra Loyd, granddaughter: Crystal Shelton, grandson: Jermee Loyd; three great grandsons: Blayne, Bryson and Ashton Loyd; mother’s to great grandchildren and caregivers to Charles: Sarah Cope and Stephanie Connor. In addition he had many beloved nieces, nephews and lifetime friends whom he loved dearly.

Charles “Gene Papa” Shelton will be dearly missed by so many.

“As is a tale, so is a life, not how long it is, but how good it is, is what matters.”

At his request Charles will be cremated.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1 – 3 pm at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 3 pm in the chapel of the funeral home with Earl Shelton officiating.

Interment will be in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
