Junior was a farmer.
He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Survivors include two sons: Darrell Burton Stapleton and T.J. Stapleton; daughter: Nikita Stapleton; seven grandchildren; three sisters and one brother-in-law: Tina and Steve McGhee, Georgie Lane, and Flora Gertrude Stapleton; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Larry and Margaret Stapleton of Kingsport, Rex and Brenda Stapleton of Kingsport, and Bobby and Cassie Stapleton of Baileyton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Rebecca Sue Stapleton; his parents: Charles and Bessie Stapleton; and a sister: Carol Ann Arrowood.
The family will receive friends from 5pm-8pm Monday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 8:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bob Simpson officiating.
Interment will be at 10:00 am Tuesday in Liberty Hill Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 9:45 am Tuesday for the graveside service.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
