

She was a member of Cedar Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she was also a member of the Sue Ella Ann Circle.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law: Pat and Jerry Mitchell of Greeneville; son: Max R. “Randy” Hawk of Greeneville; grandson: Cy R. Hawk of Greeneville; granddaughter and husband: Sadie and Chad Roberts of Kingsport; step grandson: Cody A. Mitchell of Bethune, South Carolina; three great granddaughters: Taylor Hawk of Greeneville and Piper and Emmy Roberts of Kingsport; brothers: Jay Gilland and Walter Kyle Gilland of Greeneville and Robert H. Gilland of Texas; sisters: Freddie Ann Harris of South Carolina and Pauline Hayes of Greeneville; sisters-in-law: Glenna Woolsey and Frances Hawk; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Billy and Joe Ann Hawk; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Max E. Hawk, and a brother, Leonard Gilland.
The family will receive friends from 2pm-4pm and 5pm-7pm Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jimmy Peyton and Rev. Tony Cox officiating.
Interment will be at 10:00 am Friday in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at 9am Friday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be members of Cedar Hill CP Church.
The honorary pallbearer is Rev. Richard Snowden.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cedar Hill Church or Cemetery.
