David Ray "Papaw" Berryhill

He retired from Hurd Lock where he worked as a tool and dye maker.

Mr. Berryhill was Baptist by faith and truly believed in God.

He was a member of Greeneville Moose Lodge and was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved his dogs that he called his “babies”.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years: Alice Berryhill; five daughters: Lorrie Berryhill, Annette Allen and husband, Cliff, Melissa Davis and husband, Johnny, Pamela Machea Berryhill, and Davanna Berryhill; two sons: David Ray Berryhill II, and Zackery Berryhill, all of Greeneville; grandchildren: Timothy Bolton II, Brad Broyles, Brandon Bolton and wife, Channing, Thomas Willett, Brock Broyles, Jessica Willett, Vincent Greene, William Robinette, Jr. and wife, Mary, Nekisha Greene, and Gavin Berryhill; great grandchildren: Bryson Broyles, Ezekiel Tarleton, Kali Thornburg, Alexander Robinette, Serenity Bolton, Caden Tarleton; one sister and brother-in-law: Judy and Bud Livingston of Greeneville; three brothers and two sisters-in-law: Robert Berryhill of Mosheim, Freddie and Robin Berryhill of Greeneville, Alvin and Becky Berryhill of Bluff Dale, TX;

and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was the son of the late Robert and Bertha Berryhill and was preceded in death by a grandson, Troy Allen Willett II; and one brother, Alfred Berryhill.

The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Tuesday and 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 11 am Thursday, October 3, 2013, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel. Rev. Phillip Helbert and Rev. Danny Ellis will officiate.

Interment will follow at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
