

He was a member of Lord’s Tabernacle Church and was a former employee of Franklin Furniture.
Mr. Nance is survived by his wife: Louise Mercer Nance; son: Kenny Nance; two daughters and sons-in-law: Maria and Marlin Moore of Bulls Gap, Jean Ann and Timothy Wallace of Rogersville; adopted daughter: Sue Mercer of Bulls Gap; four grandchildren: Timothy and Harley Wallace, Justin and Brittany Nance; brothers and sisters-in-law: Clarence and Sallie Nance of Belvedere, Illinois, Marvin Nance, Roger and Jean Nance, Cletus and Nancy Nance, and Darrell and Annette Nance, all of Bulls Gap, Virgil and Joyce Nance of Greeneville; several nieces and nephews that he was very fond of; and his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Paul Mercer, Eugene and Betty Mercer, Robert Mercer, Pearl Landers, Lola Moore, Lois Shelton of Greeneville, and Helen Byers of Dallas, North Carolina.
He was the son of the late James S. and Mabel Leona Smoot Nance and was preceded in death by four brothers: Russell, Carvel, Lavern, and Leroy Nance; and a sister: Eva Nance.
The body is at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home where it will remain until time for services. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, at Lord’s Tabernacle Church with Rev. Buster Shelton and Rev. Walter Moore officiating.
Interment will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
His pallbearers are his nephews and friends.
His special friends of Lord’s Tabernacle Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
