Dennis Shelton

He was a retired roofer.

Mr. Shelton was of the Christian faith.

He loved his children and his family. He also loved his special brother, Arthur. He loved his dog, “Penny”.

Survivors include his wife: Louise Shelton; mother of his children: Margaret Louise Shelton; eight children and spouses: Jennifer and Michael Hensley, Dennis James Shelton, Billy Thomas Shelton, Stevie Shelton, Sammy Shelton, Shannon Shelton, Dennis Carl Shelton, Vernie Michelle Shelton; two step-children: Joanie Hope and Bobby Morgan; grandchildren: Sarah Danielle Hopson, Sierra Nicole Hopson, Christian Michael Shelton, Billy Tom Shelton Jr., Faith Marie Shelton, Harley Daniele Bailey, Dennis Dwayne Shelton; step grandchildren: Haley Britt, Madison Davis, Katherine Louise Hope, Susan Ann Hope; great grandchild: Jayden Hopson; brothers and sisters and spouses: Rev. Gladford Earl and Nina Shelton, Billy Thomas and Patricia Shelton, Arthur Voyd and Joanie Shelton, Beatrice and Peter Castiglione, Debra and Lynn Bowser; special aunt: Louise Lewis; special friend: Eddie Hall; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was the son of the late Neal and Callie Shelton and was preceded in death by Dallas Shelton, James Shelton, and Alma Lee Gunter.

There will be no formal visitation or services. The body will be cremated.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
