She was a homemaker and a former employee of Sam Moore Co. (chair factory).
She was a Baptist by faith
Survivors include two daughters: Nora Faye Hawk of Mosheim and Carol Keplinger of Thorn Hill; her grandchildren: Teresa Lane of Mohawk, William Justis of Greeneville, Floyd Hawk of Mosheim, Joseph Keplinger of the home, and Amy Keplinger and Paul Keplinger, both of Jonesborough; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was the daughter of the late Roy and Amy Smelcer and was preceded in death by her husband: Milton Paul Lowery; a daughter: Hazel Justis; one grandson: Dale Hawk; and one great-grandson: Henry Lane.
The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at Carter's Chapel United Methodist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Pastor Charlie McCamey will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Charles Ervin, Jackie Ervin, Charles Wilkerson, Alvin Cutshall, Allen Lane, and Dustin Allen.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
