She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Brown was of the Baptist tradition of faith.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, listening to gospel singing and most important, hearing the word of God.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Charlotte and Michael Bernard of Baileyton, Mattie Reynolds and Doug Fortner of Greeneville; two sons and daughters-in-law: Robert Reynolds and Tammy Hicks, Mike and Janet Reynolds, all of Chuckey; three very special grandchildren: Jason Armstrong and wife, Misty, of Greeneville, Heather Brashears and husband, James and Adriane Reynolds, all of Chuckey; five great grandchildren, all of whom she adored: Avery and Ali Armstrong of Greeneville, Wyatt, Peyton and Heath Brashears, all of Chuckey; a sister and brother-in-law: Edna and Norris Roberts of Fall Branch; and many nieces, nephews and special friends.
She was the daughter of the late John and Ada Simpson Ryans and was preceded in death by her first husband, John Reynolds; her second husband, Charles “C.H.” Brown; a daughter, Hazel Marie Reynolds; six brothers, Joe, Jim, Tyson, Bufford, Elbert and Ell Ryans; and one sister, Belle Crenshaw.
The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2013, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Warner Metcalf
officiating.
Interment will be 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, at Lovelace Baptist Church Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery for the committal service.
Pallbearers will be Sammy Roberts, Jerry Roberts, Charlie Crenshaw, Archie Crenshaw, Ricky Russell and Gene Swatzell.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff of Life Care Center of Greeneville, the staff of Amedysis Hospice, the staff of the ER, ICU and third floor at Takoma Regional Hospital, the staff of Greene County – Greeneville Emergency Medical Service, and Dr. Daniel Lewis.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
