Frank "Doyle" Melton

He was retired from the Maintenance Department at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Melton was a member of Hartman’s Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years: Mary Melton; son and daughter-in-law: Neal and Rhonda Melton of Knoxville; a daughter-in-law: Christine Melton of Midway; sister-in-law: Pauline Huddleston of Surgoinsville; brother-in-law and wife: J.C. and Mary Jennings of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

He was the son of the late Herman and Florence Melton and was preceded in death by a son, Carroll Melton; four sisters and brothers-in-law: Flora Bell and Wade Shepherd, Louisa and Jack Seay, Rose and Walter Hawk, Ferne and Berlin Campbell; and three brothers and sisters-in-law: Albert and Minnie Melton, Roy and Elizabeth Melton, and Chester and Lucille Melton.

The family will receive friends 4-7 pm Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 7 pm Sunday in the funeral home chapel. Rev. John Grimm will officiate.

Interment will be 11 am Monday at Hartman’s Chapel Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10 am Monday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery for the committal service.

Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be his church family at Hartman’s Chapel UM Church.
