

Fred Rader, 96, of the Orebank community, passed away at home on January 10, 2026. He was born to Cecil and Ollie Clowers Rader on September 30, 1929 and was raised with his six brothers and sisters in a loving Greene county family.
Fred served in the United States Army, fighting in the Korean War from 1952-54. Upon returning from service, he worked for Pet Milk Company 41 years until his retirement in 1993.
Fred enjoyed farming and gardening and was generous in sharing produce from his garden, especially watermelons and tomatoes with neighbors, friends, and others.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Aileen McCamey, his parents, three brothers: Willie, Robert, and John Rader; and three sisters: Pauline Hale, Bea Taylor, and Anna Sue Hale.
He is survived by special family members Debbie and Paul Witt, William Edington, Chris and Barbara McCamey, Imy and Eddie Dobson, Lynn McCamey, George and Lethy McCamey and Loretta Gaylor and special friends Lillian Kirk, Hazel and Vicky Robinson, Richard and Brenda Dobbelaere, and Dale Kirk. He is also survived by one brother-in-law, Charlie McCamey, one sister-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
He was a member of Jackson's Chapel Freewill Baptist Church and attended People's Tabernacle as long as his health permitted.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday beginning at 2 p.m. at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Gary Norton officiating.
Interment will be on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Jackson's Chapel Cemetery. The Greene County Honor Guard and the Tennessee National Guard will conduct a military graveside service. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10 a.m. at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
