

He was a mechanic. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed raising goats.
Survivors include his wife: Patricia Broyles Bishop; daughter: Sharon Bishop Pope of Greeneville; two sons and two daughters-in-law: Heath and Mandy Bishop of Jonesborough and Eric and Ashley Bishop of Afton; granddaughter: Jessica Pope and Robby Lanham; five grandsons: Matthew Bishop, Caleb Bishop, Jayden Bishop, Grant Bishop, and Colin Bishop; great grandson: Kalan Lanham; three brothers and two sisters-in-law: Billy and Zoe Bishop, J.C. and Sandy Bishop, and Bobby Bishop, all of Greene County; sister and brother-in-law: Janice and Jeff Wilburn of Greeneville; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Karen and Terry Britton of Afton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the son of the late Edison and Cynthia Belt Bishop and was preceded in death by a brother: Ray Bishop; three sisters: Carolyn Cutshaw, Wanda Cutshaw, and Christine Gunter; and father-in-law and mother-in-law: Clyde and Opal Broyles.
The family extends a special thanks to the Takoma ER nurses and staff and to Dr. Richard Aasheim.
The family will receive friends 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Lynn Mercer and Michael Brown officiating.
Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday in Greystone Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery for the committal service.
Pallbearers will be John Bishop, Drew Bishop, Keith Cutshaw, Dean Cutshaw, Bryan Bishop, Winfred Gray, Michael Brown, Nickolas Brown, and Gustavo Galvan.
Honorary pallbearers are Paul Plemmons, Charlie Fellers, Mike Tipton, Wayne Babb, and Chad Smith.
