Gerald Treece Shelton

He was disabled and a member of New Beginning Church in Limestone.

He was a very special and loving man and will be missed by all.

Mr. Shelton is survived by his parents: Dennis and Betty Shelton of Chuckey; sister and brother-in-law: Faye and Jerry Norton of Chuckey; brother and sister-in-law: Winfred and Barbie Shelton of Greeneville; niece: Tori Shelton; two nephews and their spouses: Johnathan and Miranda Shelton and Corey and Lesley Shelton; two great nephews: Cayden and Hudson Shelton; his beloved dog: “Jessie”; his companion and her daughter and son-in-law: Francis Johnson, Sabrina and Brian Maxwell; several uncles, aunts, and cousins; and many special friends and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Stokley and Vernicia Shelton, Milburn and Lizzie Norton; and his special pet dog: “Snoopy”.

The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Jonathan Jones officiating.

Interment will follow in Horse Creek Church of God Cemetery.

His pallbearers are Johnathan Shelton, Corey Shelton, Tony Gosnell, Jeff Stokes, Danny Pitt, and Joe Doud.

The congregation of New Beninning Church in Limestone; 4th floor oncology wing at JCMC, Regional Cancer Center of Johnson City, and JCMC Hospice staff will serve as honorary pallbearers.
