Geraldine Gunter Stills

Geraldine Gunter Stills, age 91, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024 at her home. She was born August 12, 1932. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at a very early age and never forgot who her Lord was. She married her sweetheart June 10, 1950. They walked side by side until his Lord called him home in May, 1998. To this union was born four children who they loved very much. She loved helping her husband Rev. J. B. Stills in his pastoral work for many years. She was a true example of a pastor’s wife. She was a Baptist by faith and attended church as long as her health permitted.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Pat and David Fellers; two sons and daughters-in-law: Jay Lynn and Kathy Stills and Eddie and Jackie Stills; grandchildren: Sonya and Mike Bowers, Jason and Danyelle Stills Michael and Becky Wexler, Christopher Stills, Kristy Wexler, Hayley Stills; eleven great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; and a sister-in-law: Johnnie Gunter.

She was the daughter of the late Richard and Maggie Kelley Gunter. She was preceded in death by her husband: Rev. J. B. Stills, a son: Larry Dean Stills; three brothers: Bennie Joe Gunter, Jimmy Reed Gunter and Billy Wilhoit.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 pm Wednesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home and the service following at 7:00 pm with Jason Stills and Rev. Jonathan Jones officiating.

Interment will be at 10:30 am Thursday at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at 9:45 am Thursday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons.
