Hal Henry Lane

He delivered pizza for Papa John’s Pizza and was a member of Church of God.

Mr. Lane was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served two tours in Viet Nam. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and American Legion Post # 0064.

He loved and enjoyed his family, the Atlanta Braves, fishing and gardening.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years: Linda Ricker Lane; a son and daughter-in-law: Tim “Bubba” and Darla Lane; daughter: Pam “Sissy” Lane and fiancé, Major Tunnell; grandchildren: Matt, T. J. and Marcus Lane; great grandchildren: Ekiah and Kian Lane, Greyson, Carson and Haven Lane, and Victoria Moore; one sister: Shirley Church; several nieces and nephews including a special nephew and wife: Gary and Erika Ricker and a special niece and husband: Earnie and Jimmy Parton; sisters-in-law: Linda Lane and Josephine and Barbara Ricker; and an ex-daughter-in-law: Angela Byrd.

He was the son of the late Henry and Callie Lane and was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Kevin Lane; and siblings: George, Christine, Herbert and Phyllis.

The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Wednesday and Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2 pm Friday in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Eddie Malone and Rev. Larrie Pike will officiate.

Interment will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. The Greene County Honor Guard and the Tennessee National Guard will conduct a military graveside service.

Pallbearers will be Matt Lane, T. J. Lane, Marcus Lane, Garrett Byrd, Gary Ricker, Lee Ricker, Justin Lane, and Anthony Thompson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be all his friends at the DAV and American Legion Post and the employees of Papa John’s Pizza.

The family wished to express a special thanks to the staff of Smoky Mt. Hospice.
