

She was the daughter and only child of Willis and Cleo Roberts. Imogene was a member of First Church of Nazarene. She was a 1969 graduate of Greeneville High School and worked at Greene Valley Development Center for 25 years. During those years at Greene Valley, Imogene made many friends and acquaintances and cherished all of the residents she cared for. After taking early retirement from Greene Valley, Imogene was able to pursue her greatest joys in life being a grandmother and getting lost on backroad adventures with her husband J. C.
She was preceded in death by her father George Willis Roberts, but now a joyous reunion in God’s presence will be had. She leaves behind her husband, best friend and companion of 38 years: J. C. Hurd; her mother: Hattie Cleo Roberts; four children: Joey (Amanda) Harmon, Jada (Terry) Jones, Lorie Hurd and Jason Hurd; grandchildren: T J (Brie) Hensley, Tyler Patterson, Taylor (Bralyn) Patterson, Victoria Harmon, Lillie (Alex) McCoy, Jacob Harmon and Landon Jones, Maya and Griffin Gricunas; two great grandchildren: Kayden and Nolan Hensley; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Shelby (Mike) Ricker, Cathy (Bill) Quillen, Elizabeth (Earl) Tolley and Bobby (Rebecca) Hurd.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 pm Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with the service to follow at 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Stephen Rutherford officiating.
Interment will be held at 11:00 am Monday at Graceland Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 am Monday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Joey Harmon, Landon Jones, Jacob Harmon, Terry Jones, J. C. Hurd and T. J. Hensley.
