Jack C. Gunter

Mr. Gunter was a bus driver at Camp Creek Elementary School.

He was a member of Harris Memorial Church.

Survivors include his brothers and sisters: George and Frank Gunter, Bonnie Mae Gunter, and Annie Norton; step-daughters and step-son: Brenda Laws, Norma Dean Johnson, Deloris Johnson, and Buford Metcalf; a step-granddaughter whom he helped to raise: Laura Crowder; and several step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, step-great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Mr. Gunter is preceded in death by his wife: Letha Fawn Metcalf Gunter; his parents: Ambrose and Roxie Gunter; sister: Lorean Dearing; and a brother: Clyde Gunter.

The family will receive friends 12-2 p.m. Friday at Harris Memorial Free Will Baptist Church.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Harris Memorial with Rev. Ken Smith officiating.

Interment will follow in Harris Memorial Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Life Care Center of Greeneville for the care given to Mr. Gunter.

Pallbearers will be Ethan Metcalf, Tommy Crowder, Jeff Gunter, Lynn Gunter, Charlie Dearing, and Russell Hensley.

Honorary pallbearers are T.J. Laws, Boyd Johnson, Brett Johnson, and Billy Johnson.
