She was a homemaker. She was a loving sister who loved life and the outdoors.
Janet is survived by her husband: Lezer Norton; sister and brother-in-law: Joan and Carl Gilland; two half sisters: Sonya Connelly of Florida and Kim Green of Virginia; special niece: Shandie Hinkle of Greene County; granddaughter: Mercedes Hyatt; three children: Angie Smith, J.C. Cody, and Patricia Mathis; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was a daughter of the late Luckey and Ester Hensley and was preceded in death by a sister, Willa Dean Hensley.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. At her request, the body will be cremated and a service will be held at a later date.
