

Mr. Jones was a tool and die maker, having worked for MECO for 35 years. He also had been employed at Georgia Granite Sales.
Mr. Jones was a member of Oakdale Union Church.
He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include wife: Louise Jones; his mother and stepfather: Shirley and Jack Ragsdale of Afton; a stepbrother: Warren Ragsdale of Kingsport; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Brenda and Larry Fortner; a niece: Faith Fortner; nephews: Brad Fortner and Gage, and Josh and Tara Fortner; and a great-niece: Sadie Fortner, all of Greeneville; his cousins: Kathy Gillespie, Brenda and Robert Shipley, Barbara and Robert Cook, and Tim Jones; several aunts and uncles; and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father: Charles T. Jones; his grandparents: Parris and Pearl Duncan and John and Edith Jones; a stepsister: Sharon Ragsdale; and a nephew: Jimmy Jones.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 8 p.m. in the chapel. The Rev. Gene Wilcox, the Rev. Lewis Kizer, and the Rev. Eddie Malone will officiate.
A committal service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hardins Chapel Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at 1 p.m. at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Larry Fortner, Josh Fortner, Carrol Blazer, Randy Blazer, Tim Jones, Eugene Duncan, and Mark Proffit.
