He was retired from Hurd Corp. He attended Crossroads Church.

He is survived by one daughter: Kathy (Allen) Hughes; one son: David Horner; grandchildren: Chris (Tracy) Horner; brothers: Billy Joe Horner of Illinois, Charles Horner; sisters: Mary (Dale) Blazer and Doris Darnell; his four legged companion: Peanut

He was preceded in death by his wife: Wanda Horner; a son: Jamie Horner; parents: George Washington and Rosie lee Horner; siblings: Buster Horner, Ray Horner, Helen Yount, Velma Swatzell and Brenda McAmis.

The family will receive friend from 5-7 pm Monday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. David Duggar officiating.

The graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 am Tuesday at New Bethel Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home at 10:00 am Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery.

The family wished to extend a Special thanks to the staff of Signature Health Care, Heather, Holly, Cynthia, Brie, Stacy, Sheila, Angela, April, Hayley, Paula, Cat, Camille, Melanie, Leann with Smoky Mtn. Hospice and Dr. Anvil Tumkur and staff of TN Cancer Specialists.
