

Ray retired from Research and Education Center of Greeneville, formerly the U.T. Tobacco Experiment Station after 27 years of service.
He was a great husband, father, and very loving grandfather. He loved fishing and gardening.
Ray is survived by his wife of 31 years: Katherine Haney; two daughters and one son-in-law: Leslie Haney, Louise and Casey Mason of Greeneville; two very special grandchildren: Abby Donoho and Zachary Mason; son: Jamie Dixon of Greeneville; other grandchildren: Sharon Dixon and William Dixon of Greeneville; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Brenda and Elbert Jones, Dema Davis of Greeneville; brother: Jerry Harrison of Greeneville; several very special nieces and nephews; and a very special friend of the family: Eli Daniel.
He was a son of the late Dutch and Cora Mae Gray Haney and was preceded in death by two brothers: Roger Haney and Paul Haney.
The family will receive friends at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2010 in Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Baxter officiating.
Interment will follow in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
His pallbearers will be his nephews and friends.
His honorary pallbearers include his fellow employees at the Education and Research Center of Greeneville, employees of Mountain State Hospice and Home Health Care, and nurses and staff at Regional Cancer Center.
