

She was a homemaker and attended Heartland FMC Church.
Her family states, “She was a good Christian woman who loved animals, working with her flowers, and the outdoors.”
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Maxine and Merrill Harrison of Mohawk; Linda and Terry Clark of Greeneville; a son and daughter-in-law: Cecil and Linda Barnette of Mosheim; grandchildren: Paula Hurley Ross of White House, Tn; Kenneth John Hurley of Powell, Tn; Brian Allen Clark; Michael Joseph Clark of Lake City; Jonathan Keith Barnette of Gray; Wesley Blake Barnette of Rogersville; step grandchildren: Dwayne Harrison, Ritchie Harrison; fifteen great grandchildren; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Virgie and Homer Yates; Elsie Henderson; a brother: Dewey Willis of Va; brother-in-law: Rayford Griffith of Newport.
She was the daughter of the late Jake Willis and Carrie McGaha and was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Yates Barnette; stepfather, Harrison McGaha; two brothers, Joe McGaha, Charlie McGaha; a sister, Barbara Griffith.
The funeral servcie will be held at 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 22, 2010, in the Kiser Rose Hill Chapel with Pastor Doyle Tunnell, Pastor Kevin McAmis officiating.
Interment will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Orrick, Kenneth Fillers, Buddy Brown, Kenneth Hurley, Brian Clark, Wesley Barnette, and Michael Clark.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Kiser Rose Hill Funeral Home. Family and friends are asked to meet Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery for the committal service.
