

She was a Pastor’s wife, homemaker, church musician, and a retired music teacher.
Mrs. Priester was of the Southern Baptist faith and was a member of Tusculum Baptist Church.
She was a member of Smoky Mountain Music Teachers Association, The Christian Women’s Club, Women on Mission at Tusculum Baptist Church.
She was an avid fan of her grandchildren’s sports, music and drama endeavors. Her
grandchildren called her “Mama Priester”. Martha lived what she believed and was the perfect
Pastor’s wife. She was always supportive and positive. She was tireless in her efforts for
anything she was involved in.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years: J. Charles Priester; two daughters and a son-in-law: Beth and Bill Brimer, Martha Claire Priester; one son and daughter-in-law: Ben Lee and Adrianne Priester; five grandchildren: Sara Beth Brimer, Linda Claire Brimer and fiancé, Donnie Barnette, William D. Brimer, Joel A. and Briana Brimer.
She was the daughter of the late David and Elsie Woodson Turner and was preceded in death by
a grandson, Steven E. Brimer, one sister, Edith Turner Trout; one brother, Bobby Ray Turner.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 23, 2012, at Tusculum
Baptist Church.
Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
