The family will receive friends 3-4 p.m. Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Allen Mayhew officiating.
Marvin will be returned to his home state of West Virginia for funeral services. The family will receive friends 1 pm – 2 pm Sunday at Stump Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville, West Virginia with Steven Raines officiating. Burial will follow in Nobe Cemetery.
Marvin was born in Grantsville, West Virginia on February 5, 1927.
Marvin was married to Joy L. Gainer on August 29, 1989 and they were married for 29 years.
Marvin served his country in Korea for 2 years and worked as a machinist for Ford Motor Company for 30 years. Marvin was kind and generous and he enjoyed everything to do with the Lord. His faith touched many who knew him.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Joy L. Gainer; two daughters and their spouses: Connie and Mike Hess and Debbie and Rick Simpson; three step-sons and their spouses: Roger and Alice Pinyan, Rayburn and Jenny Pinyan, and Ronnie and Deanne Pinyan. He had twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, one brother, two sisters, and special “granddaughter”, Victoria.
Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Alta Gainer, three brothers, five sisters, one step-son, and two granddaughters.
