She was retired from Greene Valley Developmental Center after 28 years of service.
Mrs. Craft attended Central Baptist Church when her health permitted. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed working in her flowers. She enjoyed camping and hunting, listening to different types of music and spending time with her family.
Survivors include one son and special daughter-in-law: James “Bucky” and Christy Craft of Greeneville; one daughter and special son-in-law: Connie and Allen Blake of Chuckey; four special grandchildren: Allison, Katie, Lydia and Macy Craft; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Lisa and Paul Norton of Baileyton; Louise and Terrell Watts of Arkansas; three brothers and one sister-in-law: Gary and Christy Smith of Greeneville; Jim Smith of Knoxville; Mike Rader of Greeneville; sister-in-law: Fern Closser of Anderson, Indianan; several cousins including a special cousin: Carol Berry; several special nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of the late Bert and Ethel Rader and stepfather, Rev. James “Buddy” Smith and was preceded in death by her husband: John R. Craft and her siblings: Brenda Stapleton, Wynonia Quinn, Ruth Myers, Judy Wilhoit, Ricky Rader, Buddy Rader, Lucille Kimbrough and Ruby Rader..
The funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm Sunday, September 2, 2012, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Todd Abbey officiating. Interment will follow at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be James Norton, Willie Stamey, Lorenzo Munoz, Randy Westmoreland, Randy Quinn and Allen Stapleton.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Michael Odell and the nurses in the ICU at Holston Valley Medical Center.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm on Friday and Saturday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
