Nellie Houston Smith

Nellie worked for over 39 years at Industrial Garment in Erwin, TN as a seamstress then she retired to as a homemaker. She loved cooking and was of the Baptist faith. If you knew Nellie then you knew the love she had for her family and friends. She was always kind and giving. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include: Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was the daughter of the late Will and Alice Aldridge Houston. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Douglas, Ravenel and Junior Houston; two sisters: Anna Mae Houston Cutshaw and Velma Houston Deaderick.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday at River Hill Cemetery with Mark Haselden officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:00 pm to go in procession to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Samuel Garland, Benjamin Garland, Tim Silvers, Tyler Silvers, Mark Haselden, and Chris Garreffa.
