

She was a housewife and farmer.
Mrs. Gass was was of the Christian faith.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and was affectionally known to everyone as “Mamaw”.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Sue and Jim Castle of Blackwater, VA; two granddaughters: Leslie Kemp and Jamie Sue Ricker, both of Chuckey; a grandson: Adam Gass of Greeneville; two great grandsons: Steven Yokley and Austyn Kemp; a great granddaughter: Lily Kemp; brothers and sisters: George W. Pridemore and wife, Kitty, of Livingston, KY, Grover Pridemore and wife, Lucille, Martha Ruth Jones and husband, Harry, Marie Cox, John Pridemore and wife Sylvia, Franklin Pridemore, Georgia Hopson and husband, Ronald, Don Pridemore, all of Greeneville, Helen Morgan, Kenneth Pridemore and wife, Doris, all of Chuckey, Paul Pridemore and wife, Ruby, of Morristown; several nieces and nephews; and special neighbors: Kathy and Cameron Dunn, Thelma Gunter, all of Chuckey.
She was the daughter of the late Dan H. and Laura Pridemore and was preceded in death by her husband, Arvil Hugh Gass; a daughter and son-in-law, Edna and Norman Ricker; a son, Steven H. Gass; granddaughter, Bonnie Ruth Ricker; a brother and sister-in-law, Dan H., Jr and Jean Pridemore and an infant brother, James Pridemore.
The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel. Rev. Oscar McAmis and Rev. Jeff Gibson will officiate.
Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Union Temple Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Malone, Wayne Pridemore, Paul Honea, Richard Morrison, Austyn Kemp, Steven Yokley and Adam Gass.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Richard Aasheim, Carroll Smith, Chris Murray, and Gerald “Red” Gunter.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. Family and friends are asked to meet at 1:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery for the committal service.
