Perry "Cotton" Gammons

He retired from Hurd Lock.

Survivors include a son: Gene Babb; sister: Irene Morrison; special friend and caregiver: Dorothy Babb; sister-in-law: Mable Gammon; several nieces, nephews, and many friends; and a special niece: Judy Alsup.

He was the son of the late Bill and Cordie Holland Gammon and was preceded in death by brothers: Frank, Charles, Doss, Jessie, George, Allen, Omer, Oscar, Edgar, Elmer, Henry, and Lowell Gammon; and a sister: Julie Smith.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2012 in the Chapel of Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Gass and Rev. Troy Gammon officiating.

Interment will follow in Doty’s Chapel Cemetery.

His pallbearers will be Gene Smith, Harold Smith, Bruce Koch, Steve Alsup, Eugene Duncan, and Bill Gammon.

Honorary pallbearers will be Edward Hawkins, Chris Koch, Tony Edward Stetser Sr., Tony Edward Stetser Jr., Willie Arrwood, and Kevin, Terry, Joseph, and Dwayne Casteel.

The Greene County Honor Guard will conduct a military graveside service.
