

He was retired from Greene Valley after 30 years of service.
Mr. Cooter was a member of Solomon Lutheran Church and Christ United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the of Greeneville Loyal Order of the Moose.
Survivors include his grandchildren: Lauren, Ryan and Andrew Cooter of Knoxville; daughter-in-law: Linda Welch of Knoxville; brother-in-law: Glen Cutshaw of Greeneville; nephew: Bobby Shaw and spouse, Mitzi, of Greeneville; nieces: Rita Jan Norton of Greeneville, Paige Stophel and spouse, Bill of Jacksonville, NC; sister-in-law: Blanch Sauls; nieces: Stella Hunter and spouse, Phil, and Mary Frankie Garland of Greeneville; nephews: Danny Sauceman and Gene Sauceman of Greeneville; and numerous other great nieces and great nephews including special great nephew: Brandon Shaw; and a special friend: Leslie Davis.
He was the son of the late Albert and Pearl Cornwell Cooter and was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Jane Sauls Cooter; a son, Rickey L. Cooter; and a sister, Elizabeth Cutshaw.
The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 25, 2011, at Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel. Rev. Jeannie Higgins will officiate. Interment will be at 12:00 noon Saturday at GreeneLawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Lanny Cannon, Josh Cannon, Bill Stophel, Ben Hunter, Matthew Hunter, Nick Norton, Eric Southerland, and Ronnie Rollins.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Kmart Coffee Club and employees of Kmart. Special thanks to Dr. John Boys and staff, staff and employees of Laughlin Health Care, and the staff and employees of Caris Health Care.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
